“I am a 31 year old woman who was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) 3 ½ years ago. Shortly after I was diagnosed with RA, the joint pain in my hands quickly spread to my knees, ankles, shoulder, elbow, and eventually my jaw. It seemed inevitable that I would end up in a wheelchair in my young adulthood. At the same time my husband and I were struggling with infertility. Needless to say, the added pressure to get pregnant only aggravated the joint pain and increased my stress. In hopes of curing the “disease”, my husband and I sought home remedies and homeopathic CURES. I tried everything from juice fasting to raw food diets. Nothing seemed to work. As I approached 30, my focus turned to becoming pregnant. I put the RA in the back burner. I promised my husband that I would take care of the RA once we had a baby. After many failed attempts to get pregnant, I sought the help of a fertility specialist. With the assistance of Invitro-Fertilization, I became pregnant and experienced all the joys of carrying a baby of my own. Oddly enough, being pregnant slowed down the progression of the RA and in fact put the disease in “remission”. If only I could stay pregnant. After nine wonderful pain-free (joint pain) months, I delivered a healthy beautiful baby boy. After 4 months of nursing, the RA returned. I had to start the RA medication, Enbrel again. Some women have worse RA symptoms after pregnancy, and it seemed to be true for me. Being a mother of a helpless newborn with RA was very difficult. Slowly, the RA started affecting other areas of my life. I became depressed and anxious. I had sharp chest pains from the stress of the disease and how it limited my activities.

I sought the help of my rheumatologist, physical therapist, and a chiropractor. I was given more prescription drugs that only took the pain away temporarily. The chiropractor I saw for two months couldn’t cure the RA and focused on my back more than my stiff elbow. I saw a physical therapist for four months. My elbow which had now become frozen at a 45 degree angle would not budge. For three months I wore a metal elbow brace that was supposed to straighten my elbow. Instead of straitening my elbow, I was uncomfortable every night because I had to sleep with the brace on. Then my rheumatologist referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. The surgeon took a MRI and discovered scar tissue in my elbow joint and suggested surgery. How could I agree to surgery? The timing was all wrong but it seemed like the only solution.

My husband searched and searched the internet for an alternative solution. I tried acupuncture, physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, and prescription medicine. Nothing seemed to alleviate the pain. One day while searching the internet, my husband discovered Dr. Darrick Sahara. My husband emailed him and asked him about cold laser therapy. Dr. Sahara assured my husband that he could help me. Hesitantly, I visited the Sahara Clinic. I thought to myself, “I’ve seen a chiropractor before. Why is he different?”

After an initial consultation, it was clear to me that Dr. Sahara knew a lot about incorporating various holistic techniques and getting to the root of the problem. When he discussed the results of his initial test, it was like he saw right through me. He hit the root of the RA right on the nose. When I finally started going into the clinic for treatment, some of the methods Dr. Sahara used seemed odd and unusual. Things like putting green or blue colored glasses on or sticking my feet in a water bath with what looked like an electrical device were a bit scary in the beginning. A few treatments later, I felt better. I had more energy and my elbow that was bent at 45 degrees could flex and could extend to about 30 degrees. I also noticed that my level of stress and anxiety has decreased.

Dr. Sahara taught me that my body is imbalanced and it needs to be restored by fixing my lymphatic system, increasing the oxygen in my cells, and eliminating all the toxic material in my body. Treatment with Dr. Sahara is innovative and is on the cusp of newer treatments that most doctors don’t even know about. I have no doubt that Dr. Sahara’s detox treatments, adjustments, supplements, laser therapy and hyperbaric oxygen chamber will finally help me. As I move from phase 1 of my treatment to the next phase, I am excited to see how my body heals even more.”
